i had this idea but was unsure.
how bout a rare race of dogs,but they're covered in a symbiotic plants that lets them regrow limbs.and use photosynthesis.they also talk and have a proficiency in magic and live for a VERY long time
they're basically sages,and sage*rimshot*hah,,,seasoning joke
they basically have hidden cities in forests,and the village leaders can answer most any questions
