Continents! There's a land, and there the first kingdom was formed and then... some kind of evil was fought off? It's kinda cliché but what do you think?

Lets expand upon this,
Ok,so,originally.torrandels was a singular continent in the seas,after aeon created the deities,he made the mortal beings,(elves dont live quite as long in this world as tolkiens elves,so no,dont ask that.)
Some fought each other,and moved out to separate villages,others worked together,those who worked together created a grand city,toraeon delsiv it was called(the world had no name at this point,aeon left that up to the mortals,the city meant, to aeon, a great land, torrandels means fallen greatness(loosely translated))it was a city thats splendor impressed even the deities,and they freely visited the city,and had strong relations with the mortals,
But there were still those with evil in their hearts,
Some deities considered the mortals and all other beings inferior,and wanted them to serve them or be destroyed,and some mortals harbored greed,lust,hatred,and vile intents into their hearts.
For years these evils festered and grew,until one day,,,,something something,war. Almost all the mortals were destroyed amongst themselves,aeon,wracked with grief,awoken,and smote down with a tremendous force the fallen city. To end the needless violence, and he sent the deviant deities to the torrandels underworld equivalent,with weakened power,The force was so strong,it separated all the lands into the four continents and countless islands of torrandels,
Meanwhile,those who lived in separated villages eventually founded the 4 continents and many islands into striving lands,
Also aeons blow created ores under torrandels, with magic properties,the existence of certain ores in great quantities controls waves of magic to determine what seasons and such are experienced and stuff.
