Re: the world of torrandels
And i don't want evolution in this Tyler, frankly it makes no sense to me.
N.j,I don't believe cults are legitimate culturally impacting device, they're mostly small
What we mean are full blown religions and cultural views,
But let's not talk about those yet, let's talk about the history of what happens next.
I'm pretty sure a cult in most cases is a small organization ioff people who choose to worship something, which is regarded by others as sinister or strange. Like satan...
It also means a misplaced or excessive admiration of a particular person or thing,
Also, a system of religious veneration and devotion directed towards a particular figure or object.
In most cases it carries a negative term, and I don't believe it's a proper term for most torrandels deities. But ey,maybe in terms for the evil deities,
Cults aren't really a good thing....

Evolution is just creatures adapting to nature.

Re: the world of torrandels
Yeah but this ain't Pokemon.
This is torrandels byetch! FAá–· yea!*puts on shades*
Also, from a storytelling standpoint, wouldn't Having many ages of evolution just add many unnecessary years of just random development of creatures where nothing important happens be the equivalent of Having that boring a ss filler nobody likes?its pointless,
How about what happens next is a number of deities rebel at the dea of having to work with the lower creatures, and desire to have the serve them

Re: the world of torrandels
Yeah. Oh hey, there's an idea in some stories where the many gods of that world only have power when they have worshippers. Could that play into this?

Maybe just make it where they have a base power, and there are numerous variables that increase or lessen it,praise being one

Re: the world of torrandels
I got it how about some dietys give birth to mortals which start the religians and some deity wars after all the dietys in terms or power are evenly matched and need an extra boost say an army of minions.

Re: the world of torrandels
No...the deities can't procreate with other beings to make demigods,or give birth to mortals, they can go from the astral lands and torrandels as they please though

Re: the world of torrandels
I like the compound power thing. What if, the amount of control that each deity can exert on the physical world is held in check by each other? And a deity is only able to do something drastic if they're much more powerful or the other deities agree with what they're doing.
And so usually they just affect the world through the followers/creatures/elements of nature associated with them.
Anyway, it wouldn't be unusual for whole lands to have been shaped by conflicts between gods.

Re: the world of torrandels
yeah like if one deity got to out of control he/she'd get sealed away in a pit by the others and the mortals might built a temple or city on top of it.
