correction,happy goat family.
without asriel,unless toriel and asgore decide to get back together andd have another kid,(which the former is possible,latter depends on numerous variables)they'll never grow older and live a fulfilling existence,everyone they love.
even frisk,will grow old and die without them.(unless murder or a killing got them,but that'd be depressing for different reasons)
THAT.is why asriel would make a truly happy ending,.

boss monsters apparently only grow older at a point when they have a child and both parents apparently have to like,spend their life force on aging their child until a certain point,then they grow old and die.
