You know what I think kirby games need more of? Games where you can play as someone other than kirby. Like in return to dream land or superstar.

Oh yeah, that too. I was only thinking of ones with different abilities from kirby.

or in 64 where you played as King Dedede to get through a level at times, but that was short.
or Just the Dedede mode on Triple Deluxe, and Meta Knightmare on Superstar Ultra.
or in Return to Dreamland where you could be either Kirby, Meta Knight. King Dedede, Bandana Dee, or another Kirby.

Kirby is the only game I know where other players can drop out in the middle of the stage, and come back in whenever (Usually at the cost of Kirby's health or Power-Up required to jump back in as a Helper.)
The only Kirby game I know (I didn't play them all so I don't know every game./Not counting spin-offs.) that didn't do that was Epic Yarn.

The only multiplayer ones I know of were superstar, return to dreamland, and epic yarn.... no other kirby games had partners separate from kirby.

I want the animal buddies to return

Amazing Mirror had Kirby become 4 Kirbys, but thats still one Kirby just separated. Plus everyone needed their own GBA + Game to play it.
Dreamland 3 has Gooey as the 2nd player, but he played like a second Kirby.

I would like to see the animal buddies or other helpers come back to help Kirby.

Yes but that doesn't mean you can't play as other characters. After all, you don't just play as mario in most mario games nowadays.

Kirby's always locked to the 1st player (Like Mario in the Super Mario Games.), and the other players can be someone else (or another Kirby.)

Back then if you wanted to be someone else. It was either an option, plug your controller into the second slot and go, or Your this character no matter what and the second player can be this character. (Sonic and Tails... No Tails and Sonic.)

I'm joking.

It's so sad....

If they do make a Kirby game where you can play as either Kirby or Buddies. They have to make sure everyone can advance as well on their own. Don't want anyone getting stuck in the game because this Partner can't hit this because of their attack, and can't beat this boss with this character complaints.

Yeah...

Now I'm wishing there was a kirby anime reboot.
