maybe on some island,but not prominently,airships are hard to make,so there's mostly sea travel,and the world consists majorly of sea with the four continents in the four corners of the lands.
so the presence of pirates is just logical

the science is advanced enough to have like,airships,but they're REALLY rare,like,experimental.,and soda,
but not trains or 3D printers.and also revolver cannons on large ships,cause(it sounds cool)ships are the m

magic differs person to person,higher lskilled magic users may need channels for certain spells and to make more,but can use spells without channels mostly.
it is most often channeled through torranjewels.and there are magic classes around the world.
also, magic and technology can coexist,and be used in te same area,but can't be mixed.it won't work there.

So, no magitech. Early steampunk technology.

but airships are a thing in which you'd be lucky to ever see one at the current age,it's still experimental.at least at the point in which we're specifying.
also,magitech can exist,but it's more of a thing of,the state of the worlds economics and issues,with something like magitech,it would more or likely be treated like a nuclear weapon,something used only for destruction,it wouldn't work on a level of ethical standards,it's something the world isn't ready for.

it's something i'll touch more on when it becomes important,it's more a story element than cultural or an element of the world.

no,it's more of a concept at this point with experimentation,even if it WAS executed at this point,it'd be for military use only,for one of the countries.and it'd need to go through testing and stuff...
so in the current time of torrandels,it's boat travel.and airships are just an idea.
...ok,no beating around the bush,let's work on the culture of the main countries.
and then i'll work on my character's culture on his island of fallis.

kinda.except they're situated in four corners on the map.
their climate mostly relates to a season but varies in places,it's because the magic currents in these lands are all different based on the ores found there and the magic and energy conductivity in the torranjewels(or tor stones as the common people call them for easy reference) found in the lands
ilis,the nature continent,is mostly spring based.prefers magic
sailna,the fire continent.summer,science preference.
caitral,the wind continent,winter,magic preference.
