I try to play monsters, my opponent gets stronger monsters out in one turn, I get beaten like a punching bagg.

Sounds like... you need better monsters. Some I'd say are actually better than others.

Oh, I see. Well then, you might need some utility cards that are not warriors. Such as that labrynth. I forget its name. The one that's a 0-3000. I liked to use it when I played that game.

Utility cards are monsters or spells that serve some specific purpose. In the case of the labrynth, helping you be less dead. There are spell cards that do random crazy things. Look through those.
